VERSION 10

New Features, new database technology, new industry applications

TRAVERSE version 10 rolls out the latest and greatest in TRAVERSE innovation, offering even more power to each and every software user. Some of the new features are readily apparent and others are the result of "behind-the-scenes" technology changes, but all were incorporated to improve the performance, reliability and security of TRAVERSE.

New to version 10:

Support for Windows Desktop color schemes - if you've customized your Windows desktop colors, all TRAVERSE forms now support the color schemes you've selected.

Improved General Ledger drilldown functionality - found in the Account Balance Inquiry, Chart of Accounts Inquiry, and Transaction Inquiry functions..

New Employees function in System Manager - found in the Setup and Maintenance menu, this function provides a location for you to store the names, addresses and contact information for your employees.

Improved Inventory drilldown functionality - drill down from the On Order, Committed or In Use quantity fields anywhere within Inventory to display a form that shows the detail of the transactions supporting the quantity displayed.

TRAVERSE Server Manager - this new administrative tool makes it easier than ever to install and maintain the TRAVERSE applications. You can create, maintain, back up and restore company databases; manage security; and apply service packs.

New Database Technology - following Microsoft's lead to higher technology, the Microsoft Data Engine ("MSDE" or SQL Desktop) is included at no additional cost. This means you receive a "client/server" solution for a great price. You'll see dramatic increases in the processing speed of data-intensive transactions as compared to the previous version (Jet).

Traverse MFG BOM Menu

TRAVERSE version 10 features a new graphic across the top of the menu. When you start
TRAVERSE, only the left panel will display (the Main Menu). The remaining panels will
be filled in based on the application you select on the Main Menu panel.

Additional TRAVERSE version 10 Features:

All history now stored in Detail History tables - the option to save summary history has been removed; this saves you time and disk space.

Option to print reports using a "green bar" format - this format will highlight alternating records with white and green, making wide reports easier to read.

Improved financial reporting - you'll benefit from simplified financial reporting and execution; the financial reporting functions are now part of the standard TRAVERSE menus - no separate icon. Additionally, financial reports do not need to be pre-defined or stored on the client workstations, greatly reducing the time and effort necessary to prepare your financial statements.

Bar code support - many forms and reports now support the optional inclusion of bar codes printed on the report.

New Applications:

TRAVERSE version 10 also introduces four new applications: Service Director and three new applications for the manufacturing industry: Bill of Materials, Routing and Resources, and Production.

Service Director - a comprehensive work order and service management system equally well suited for your on-site, depot or internal company needs. Service Director is designed for a wide range of businesses including installation, repair, maintenance service, manufacturing, and construction companies.

MANUFACTURING SUITE

Bill of Materials - A bill of materials (BOM) defines the products' structure in terms of materials and provides an optional connection to plant resources such as machinery, tooling, and labor defined by a bill of routing. The Bill of Materials application provides a solid base for production activity to be defined, tracked and reviewed.

Routing and Resources - The TRAVERSE Routing and Resources application provides the functionality to define the labor, machinery and tooling elements of your manufacturing operation.

Production - Production is where it all comes together. Your software must be able to tell you today's production status, what is going to happen next, and what happened yesterday. The TRAVERSE Manufacturing Production application is up to the test.
